Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Full Time Custodian at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. The school custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the building and supporting a learning environment that promotes health, attitude and pride of students. In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the school custodian provides direct support to classroom teachers in set up and maintenance of furniture and equipment. The school custodian also serves as a role model for students by displaying a professional, courteous, and helpful nature.The duties required of a custodian include replenishing stock in bathrooms, cleaning restrooms, gathering and emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, monitoring building safety and security and dusting. Keeping the school as clean and tidy as possible is the overall responsibility of a custodian. They should be prepared to do things like moving heavy furniture to reach corners, cracks and crevices of covered parts of the room. They may have to clean laboratory equipment, such as computers and tables, mow and trim lawns and clean chimneys, flues and pipes with the use of power tools. Will work under the direction of the school principal and lead custodian. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have previous experience in janitorial work. Must be able to climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. This full time position will include benefits. Beginning pay is $20.66 per hour. Must pass a live scan fingerprint background check. The head coach has primary coaching responsibility for the varsity team but will be committed to working with all levels of the program. The Head Coach must have a commitment to the philosophy of providing a structured, developmentally appropriate, increasingly competitive and dignified program..Must have successful football coaching experience and effective interpersonal and communication skills. Respond to emergencies and administers first aid, CPR and other medical attention as needed. Will work with the Athletic Director to schedule competitions and make arrangements. Must have the ability to work well with students, parents, school staff and community members. Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings. Previous coaching experience required. CHS Parents and Students: There is no school tomorrow (Friday) for students due to Teacher Professional Development Day. However, seniors that are enrolled in Credit Recovery, Ms. Dickerson will hold class from 8:00 - 11:30am in efforts to help you continue to get caught up if you are interested. There are no busses, so you will need to arrange for your own transportation.
Girl's Wrestling is back. Today at 3:00pm (Thursday 10/19), we will have a meeting in Coach Howa's classroom for anyone interested in Girls Wrestling.
