This is a reminder that 9th and 10th grade students will be completing Aspire testing starting tomorrow, Tuesday, April 22nd and ending Friday, April 25th. Please remind students to bring their charged Chromebook to school each morning. There are also parts of the test where students can choose to have text played aloud for them. Carbon High will be Aspire Plus testing April 22nd - 25th for all 9th and 10th grade students. There will be some changes to the daily schedule due to testing. Please see the attached bell schedule. Freshmen and Sophomores will test in their current English, Math, and Science classes. All students, including juniors and seniors, will follow the adjusted bell schedule for classes. Students with college broadcast classes will attend at the regular class time. Students with a college class on USU campus, should check with their instructor about when class will be held next week. As always, students attending college classes off campus should check into the school office to ensure their attendance is marked correctly.

They should leave all personal belongings in their car or at home (this includes backpacks, purses, phones, etc). Rooms will be open at 7:45 am and testing rooms will close at 8:00 am sharp. There will be no admittance into the test after 8:00 am. No food or drink will be allowed inside the testing room. ACT Rosters have been given to advisory teachers so the student can check which classroom they will be testing in. Busses will run at their normal schedule. If a junior needs to ride a bus, they will wait at the school until 3:15 pm. Ninth(9), Tenth(10), and Twelfth(12) grade students DO NOT come to school tomorrow. They will be excused.

The ASVAB Career Exploration exam will be offered at 10:00 am on Thursday March 6th for students in 10-12th grade. If your student would like to participate they can sign up in the counseling office. The ASVAB measures abilities and helps predict success in the military. It is also a career exploration exam for students. There is no military obligation associated with this exam.
