Construction has begun at Carbon High School for the new addition. As part of the construction the walls out in front of the school that said "CARBON" had to be removed. However we recognize the connection that so many residents of Carbon County have to their High School. We want to offer you your own "piece of Carbon". A large stack of bricks has been been placed on a pallet and set aside on the patio near the doors to the Grand Canyon. Anyone who would like to have a brick to keep as a memento from your time at Carbon High is welcome to come and claim one. Please only take a brick from the pallet, DO NOT GO INTO THE CONSTRUCTION SITE. If we run out of bricks on the pallet, we will add more over the next few days. You have until Monday July 13th and then the remaining bricks will be hauled away. We are excited for the new additions to CHS that are coming as part of the Bond. Thank you for all you do as a community to support Carbon High. GO DINOS!!

We wanted to take one last opportunity to congratulate all of our CHS 2020 Senior Graduates. As a part of our graduation activities Castle Country Radio put together a video from the drive through ceremony that took place yesterday. The video link will show the cars driving through and the students receiving their diploma folders. There is audio that plays along with the video, that includes all of the audio from the graduation DVD, plus information about each graduate. Their names are read in alphabetical order, so it does not coordinate with the cars on video. Use the following link from koalitv.com to listen and watch: https://vcloud.blueframetech.com/broadcast/embed/183303?windowed=true On Wednesday night Carbon High School held their annual end-of-the-year ESPY awards. The ceremony was broadcast live on KOAL and includes interviews from some of the students winners. This audio can be found using the following link: http://www.castlecountryradio.com/2020/05/22/carbon-high-school-hosts-annual-espy-awards-complete-show-available-here/ We want to thank everyone who helped to make these great events take place. Without the support of local businesses, the police and sheriff's office, ETV, local radio stations, teachers and staff at CHS, parents and families of our students, and most importantly the Senior Class of 2020, none of this would have been possible. Congratulations again to all of our graduates. We wish you the best in all of your future endeavors.

We have had many inquiries about yearbooks. Due to COVID19 issues outside of our control, we are currently anticipating yearbooks to arrive sometime during June. As soon as we receive the yearbooks, we will arrange a yearbook pickup and get the notice out to everyone, via school contact and social media. Thanks for your patience in this very unprecedented situation.

Utah choir directors, including Miss Williams at CHS, performed this song in honor of their students. May they “feel the music of living” throughout their lives. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=u3ITgirWyAw&feature=youtu.be
