To help create a safer transportation environment for all on the road, the Carbon School District Transportation Department wants to remind parents and motorists to use precautionary measures including having extra consideration for buses as they are traveling more slowly on icy roads and some residential roads may be tight due to snow build up. Just like you, bus drivers are taking their time on wintery roads and unpredictable delays can happen, please be patient with them as we work to keep our students safe this Winter.
Dear Carbon School District Parents and Guardians,
It has come to our attention that there is a current Tik Tok challenge related to school violence. We are aware and watching. If there is a threat to any school in Carbon School District we will take immediate action, notify law enforcement and parents. At this time, school will be held as normal in all Carbon School District locations.
District administration is collaborating with local law enforcement to track any possible threats. Tomorrow, December 17, there will also be an increased police presence in all schools so that our students, parents, and staff are safe.
We appreciate you cooperation in talking with your children about the seriousness and potential consequences of participating in these types of trends. We are looking forward to a great day as we wrap up this exciting week headed into winter break!
Thank you,
Superintendent Salas
