Will assist head coach at Helper Middle School with the wrestling program, instructing student athletes on skills and strategies. Must have the ability to communicate with coaches, parents and wrestlers,ability to follow directions as well as knowledge of the skills and strategies of the sport of wrestling. Prepares, produces, and serves a variety of foods from fresh, canned, dry, or frozen states according to recipes and assists in other related tasks in a designated food service production and/or service area Prepares or assists in the preparation of a variety of main and side dishes and accompanying menu items, including sandwiches, salads, meats, vegetables, and fruits as specified by the menu, recipes and production records. Sets up and merchandises food and food service areas and serves food. Practices safe food handling according to State Health Department and CSD Food Services Standard Operating Procedures. Assists in transporting and serving food to satellite locations. Will work approximately 25 hours per week. Must have a valid Utah Food Handler's permit or be willing to obtain one. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a Live Scan Fingerprint background screening (cost of $25). Reminder: All registration materials are available online. If you need to visit us in person or bring documentation the office will be open on Aug 4 - 6 from 9 to 2, Aug 10 - 13 from 9 to 2 with regular hours resuming on Aug 17th (8 to 3) - At this time plan to use the back door while construction occurs out front.
Registration is Tues and Wed this week only for those that are having trouble with the online registration or are new to the school. If your student has a schedule then they are enrolled and you the parent only needs to fill out the online forms - you do not need to come to the school. Please see the Facebook post for details.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Special Education Teacher at Helper Middle School. Applicants must hold a current Utah Teaching license with at least a Mild/Moderate certification for Special Education. Applicants must have a good knowledge of the IEP process, student transition and strategies of teaching individually to students at various learning levels in the same classroom. HMS Football Parent Meeting Summary: Coach Condie was introduces as well as the Helper Rams Football Facebook page. Students were encouraged to be 5 mins early to each game/practice and were told that proper behavior both at school and home influence their character both on and off the field. Summer Conditioning begins Monday morning July 6th at 6:15 am at the HMS weight room.
Cross-Country will begin its 1st practice on Tuesday July 14th @ 7am. Parents are invited to attend and get practice schedules and ask any questions. Please welcome our coach this year - Heidi Jewkes.
