Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Head Wrestling Coach at Carbon High School. The Head Wrestling Coach has the responsibility for the overall operation of the wrestling program in the Carbon School District in accordance with district and  UHSAA rules and regulations. The head coach has primary coaching responsibility for the varsity team but will be committed to working with all levels of the program. The Head Coach must have a commitment to the philosophy of providing a structured, developmentally appropriate, increasingly competitive and dignified program..Must have successful wrestling coaching experience and effective interpersonal and communication skills. Respond to emergencies and administers first aid, CPR and other medical attention as needed. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Theatre Teacher at Carbon High School. The Theatre Teacher is responsible for teaching high school theatre classes to students at all levels from beginning to advanced including tech theatre training. Qualified candidates will develop and deliver theatre curriculum leading students toward mastery of essential skills and techniques. Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Elementary Art Teacher with the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Program. Must hold a Professional, Associate, or LEA-Specific educator license with the corresponding art form endorsement: A K-12 art-form specific endorsement; or, an elementary specialist art-form specific endorsement; or, qualifications for an associate endorsement plan to complete the endorsement requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage the implementation of BTS Arts at the school level to ensure quality across the program elements; teach 30-90 minute sessions with each K-5 class individually and assess student learning; attend BTS Arts professional development meetings throughout the year. Plan informances, performance, or exhibits to celebrate students’ art learning with the school community as the audience at least once a year; collaborate with other arts teachers in BTS Arts in order to create an accessible collection of integrated lessons and resources; participate in the BTS Arts evaluation, completing all components of data collection; assist in advocacy efforts for the sustainability of and growth of the program. The State of Utah currently has a mask mandate in place for K-12 public schools. Carbon School District is making a change in the way the mask mandate is enforced. We will no longer send people home who choose not to wear a mask. We will no longer insist that masks be worn properly. We will let everyone voluntarily choose to wear a mask or not. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Technology Department Technician. Provides basic technical support and services for users on district network systems, troubleshoots and repairs hardware and software, performs basic system maintenance functions and installs hardware and software. Installs and maintains network based video surveillance and access control hardware and software.  General job duties and requirements include participation in the installation, updating and administration of District computers, mobile devices, peripherals and software; install and maintain district video surveillance systems; install and maintain district building access control systems; maintains proper operation of the District computer systems, networks and other related hardware and software; performs system-level diagnosis and repairs of District computers and associated peripherals; installation and maintenance of network wiring and connections throughout buildings in the District; stays current in new technologies and applications; previous experience with personal computers, servers and computer networks required. Post secondary training in information technology or related field required. Information technology related certifications are helpful but not required. Carbon School District is seeking a Custodian for Wellington Elementary. The school custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the building and supporting a learning environment that promotes health, attitude and pride of students. In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the school custodian provides direct support to classroom teachers in set up and maintenance of furniture and equipment. The school custodian also serves as a role model for students by displaying a professional, courteous, and helpful nature.The duties required of a custodian include replenishing stock in bathrooms, cleaning restrooms, gathering and emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, monitoring building safety and security and dusting. Keeping the school as clean and tidy as possible is the overall responsibility of a custodian. They should be prepared to do things like moving heavy furniture to reach corners, cracks and crevices of covered parts of the room. They may have to clean laboratory equipment, such as computers and tables, mow and trim lawns and clean chimneys, flues and pipes with the use of power tools. Will work under the direction of the school principal. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have previous experience in janitorial work. Must be able to climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. This position will include benefits. The Vice Principal reports directly to the Principal and assumes supervision on behalf of or in the absence of the Principal.  At the discretion of the Principal, specific responsibilities and latitude of independent action will vary, but they will assist in the administration of the school and provide leadership. The Vice Principal will assist in the formulation of policies, organizational plans, goals and objectives in order to develop and maintain an educationally effective school of excellence.   Demonstrate ability to relate to the students, professional staff, parents/guardians, and members of the community.
