The Scheduling Support Secretary is responsible for efficiently managing the scheduling of substitute drivers, overseeing the white fleet, coordinating and scheduling trips, maintaining records for Risk Management, and fulfilling daily driving duties. During the summer, they continue to act as the scheduling support secretary but will also assist with the washing of the white fleet vehicles and school buses.  This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Schedule Substitute Drivers: Coordinate and schedule substitute drivers to ensure coverage for regular drivers who are absent or unavailable. Maintain an up-to-date and accurate record of substitute driver availability. Communicate scheduling changes and assignments to substitute drivers promptly. Manage and Schedule the White Fleet Year Round: Oversee the white fleet vehicles, including maintenance and repairs. Develop and maintain a schedule for vehicle usage, ensuring availability for school events and activities. Coordinate with the maintenance team to assure which buses and vehicles are available for use. Schedule Trips: Coordinate and schedule transportation for school trips, events, and extracurricular activities. Communicate with faculty and staff, and drivers to understand trip requirements and ensure timely arrangements. Records Management: Collect and maintain records related to Risk Management, including completion of Risk Management's Defensive Driving Course. Track the Bus Driver’s Trip Hours to assure equal distribution of time. Track Route Bus Driver’s Day off requests. Daily Driving Duties: Perform an AM and PM bus route on a regular basis, transporting students safely to and from school. Adhere to all traffic regulations and school bus safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe bus environment, ensuring student discipline and promoting a positive atmosphere. Summer Duties: Assist with washing the white fleet vehicles and school buses during the summer months. Ensure that vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and presentable for the upcoming school year. Must be willing to become a Bus Driver and Aide Trainer. Will assist in training new bus drivers and aides  in the classroom as well as road driving. Other Duties assigned by the Transportation Director. Must be willing to answer phone calls and radio calls as needed. Must be able to work independently and as a team. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; secretarial experience is preferred. Valid CDL driver's license with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements with a clean driving record.
