Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Behavioral Interventionist at Mont Harmon Middle School. Mont Harmon Behavior Interventionist will work closely with teachers and building administration to provide services to Tier I, II and III students. They will respond to crisis situations, be part of the team that develops behavior plans, implement behavior strategies to help the student make positive behavior changes.
Position Responsibilities
Support the implementation of Tiered behavior plans
Track student progress
Monitor and adjust incentive structures
Train teachers in the effective implementation of the plan(s)
Teaching students replacement behaviors
Communicate with parents throughout the entire process of behavior plan implementation
and monitoring
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, administrators, school counselors,
therapists, and outside agencies to craft and implement the most effective behavior plan
possible
Continually improve knowledge base by attending a wide variety of behavior training
Work with the the school administrative team to ensure the effective implementation of the
plan(s)
Provide ongoing follow through with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure the
best possible outcome for the student
Qualifications

Experience working in the education system
Successfully working in an unstructured environment
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to collaborate successfully with a wide variety of
people
Successful work experience with at-risk students

Our last parent teacher conferences will be this coming Monday April 25th 4pm-7pm.
On April 25th we will also be having our annual Pirate Treasure Hunt for all current 5th graders who are attending Mont Harmon next year. The hunt will begin at 5pm and end at 7pm. Students can come anytime between 5pm -and 6:30pm (students need to be done with the hunt by 7pm). Students will check in at the welcome table outside the office doors.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for Lunch workers. There is a position at Creekview Elementary School as well as at Mont Harmon Middle School. Duties include entering student account numbers into the Aspire system as students come through cafeteria lines, collecting account payments, applying payments to student and staff accounts, notifying parents/guardians of account deficits, and tracking data for monthly reports. Other duties include helping as needed in the kitchen and communicating with school administration, faculty and staff. Food handler permit is required upon hiring. Will work up to 25 hours per week. Tomorrow we will be doing a tour of Carbon High School with all of the 8th grade students. The buses will leave Mont Harmon at 10:30am and return to the school at 2:50pm. There will be a sack lunch provided for the students, or they can bring their own.
Students will be assigned a teacher to be with for the tour.
