Carbon School District is seeking Sub Bus Drivers. Paid training provided to obtain Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsement. Responsible for safely transporting children to and from school and related events. Drives a school transportation vehicle within a prescribed route(s) in accordance with time schedules; picking up and discharging students at designated stops. Transports students and teacher on field trips to various locations; planning necessary route(s) and stops as needed. Maintains order and proper discipline of student passengers according to district policy. Conducts safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily. Reports needed mechanical repairs when necessary. Services buses with gas, diesel fuel, and oil; checks and when necessary fills tires and batteries. Performs periodical safety drills as required by law; completing necessary reports upon request. Maintains cleanliness of vehicle to ensure safe operating condition. Attends various meetings regarding safety, first aid and training updates as required. Attends driver training programs to maintain current knowledge of Utah Motor Vehicle Code and the Education Code as it applies to the operation of vehicles in the transportation of school children. Performs other related duties as required. Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background check (cost $25). Route driving beginning at $17 per hour.

Picture day is Thursday Sept. 24th
The football game on Friday has changed to 2pm. The football team will not be in the parade.
Homecoming for CHS is Friday. We will NOT be walking down to the parade. If the students want to go to the parade they need to be checked out by a parent/guardian. We will not let them leave without being checked out.
Some of the sports and clubs are participating in the parade. If your student is in one of these groups you do NOT need to check them out. They will go with their group and come back with the group.
Parent/teacher conferences are on Monday, Sept. 28th. More information will come out soon.

Because of COVID regulations students cannot use the microwaves for lunch. Please pack your lunches accordingly.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Sweeper at Mont Harmon Middle School. This position will work approximately 29 hours per week. Help with the operation, upkeep and cleaning of the assigned school building and grounds. Keep the building comfortable, safe and clear for all times the building is scheduled for use. Custodial duties include cleaning walls, windows, furniture, floors (carpet & tile), and cleaning restrooms. Stripping and waxing tile floors, refurbishing gym floors periodically. Other custodial duties as assigned by head custodian including minor maintenance on the building and grounds. Must pass a live screen background check. We have posted the bell schedule. Remember we start Wednesday and it’s a full day. For those of you who are doing online learning, we are working hard to get it all set up by Wednesday.

The last cross country summer practice is tomorrow Aug. 13, 8:00am at the Price river trail in south Price just off Carbon ave. We will meet in the parking lot by the exercise equipment and finish at the other end by JBs. Next week we will begin our normal after school practices. Mon. 12:30, Tues.-Thurs. 3:30 at Washington Park. Thanks!
