Hi MH families! We wanted to let you know that we are working on all of the details to return to school next month. We know there are a lot of questions and we are doing our best to address all of them. Here are some points we are working on. 1- We are planning on doing a 6th grade pirate treasure hunt in August. Details and dates will be announced ASAP. 2- We are not making any schedule changes until the week of registration. 3- The days of registration are still planned for August 9th (6th grade), August 10th (7th grade), and August 11th (8th grade). You will receive more information on this when it is available. Please be patient while we work through all of the details for this challenging and unique school year. Thank you!

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Special Education Teacher at Mont Harmon Middle School. Applicants must hold a current Utah Teaching license with at least a Mild/Moderate certification for Special Education. Applicants must have a good knowledge of the IEP process, student transition and strategies of teaching individually to students at various learning levels in the same classroom. Carbon School District is seeking a Science Teacher at Mont Harmon Middle School. Will teach science subjects in accordance with school district procedures and state laws. Develop interesting and interactive classroom learning environment for students. Use innovative instructional methodologies/materials to conduct classes in proactive, stimulating and effective manner. Perform periodic assessment to evaluate and improve each student’s academic skills and social growth. Develop and implement coherent curriculum plan to ensure student academic development. Develop lesson plans and materials to ensure student’s academic success. Coordinate with other teachers to continuously improve curriculum plan for student. Maintain accurate and complete student records such as progress reports, attendance reports, parent contacts, etc. as defined by district policy and school administration. Participate in curriculum development programs, staff development programs, faculty meetings and other school committee activities as required. Assist in general supervision of students inside and outside the classroom. Interested applicants must have a current Utah Secondary Teaching License with a Science Endorsement or have qualified through the State Board of Education for either an ARL or an APT license or be able to receive such by September 1, 2020. If your student is interested in cross country we are starting practice tomorrow morning at 8:00. All summer practices will be Tuesday and Thursday morning at 8:00 at the Price north trail.

Information regarding yearbooks: Due to COVID19 the company we order yearbooks from is experiencing major delays in production and shipping. We DO NOT have a projected date for delivery. **Check-Out Information** Starting on Monday May 18th we will start collecting Chromebooks. Please bring all MH supplies including Chromebooks and chargers. All books, including library books. Band instruments and all other borrowed property to the school. We will have collection stations set up outside so you will not need to come into the school. The times and dates are as follows: Monday- 9am-2:30pm Tuesday-9am-2:30pm Wednesday-1pm-6pm Thursday-9am-2:30pm Please enter the EAST parking lot entrance. (Closest to the front office).
