Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Check & Connect Aide. Check & Connect is an intervention used with K-12 students who show warning signs of disengagement with school and who are at risk of dropping out. At the core of Check & Connect is a trusting relationship between the student and a caring, trained mentor who both advocates for and challenges the student to keep their educational goals moving forward. Students are referred to Check & Connect when they show warning signs of disengaging from school, such as poor attendance, behavioral issues, and/or low grades. WIll work 29 hours per week. Hey Parents! We appreciate your support during these challenging times. We assure you, we have and are continuing to implement practices to mitigate the spread of Covid. We have been very fortunate to have a low number of positive cases affect our school. Due to the proactive approach of our health department, oftentimes many people are involved in quarantine situations. We are thrilled to be able to offer our students who are quarantined a connection to their learning. Remote learning is for temporary situations, and is not meant to replace attending school physically. Its purpose is to allow healthy students to attend school remotely when they are required to stay home. Please send your non quarantined healthy children to school and we will continue to practice our safety measures. Reminder of the process to request remote learning. Parents must call the office each day before 8:10 to request to do remote learning. Please do not contact the teachers directly so we can accurately track the attendance of all students. Thanks!

Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Intervention/Extension Aide at Creekview Elementary School. This is a part time, 20 hour per week position. Will work in small groups to help students to fill gaps in reading and math or to allow students who are on grade level to continue to make progress. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Will be required to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening (cost of $25). Must also be able to pass a Para Professional test (cost of $45) or have an Associate's degree.
