A reminder from Carbon School District Transportation Director, Bruce Bean, that school starts on Monday, August 19. Buses will be out in full force so please watch for flashing lights as there are several bus stops located throughout Carbon County. There will be lots of students and parents walking around and not just around a school bus. Please watch out for students walking or riding bikes to or from school. Also watch out for parents as they wait at bus stops. We urge you to drive with caution as children can be unpredictable no matter how safe the situation. Athletic trainers must have knowledge about a large range of medical problems. Assessment and evaluation skills and working with other healthcare professionals will be needed. Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return to play decisions per state licensure guidelines. Should be thorough and detailed with injury tracking and documentation. Will provide coverage at practices, home games and events.

These positions are part time (approx. 20 hours per week).
These part time positions help to prepare and serve food to students and patrons in the school system with the added benefit of holidays off. Will be responsible for helping clean the cafeteria and kitchen areas, wash dishes, restock supplies, communicate with kitchen staff and school faculty and other duties as required.

Carbon School District is seeking applications to fill a full time benefitted School Counselor at Mont Harmon Middle School in Price, Utah.
To qualify for this position, the applicant must have a current Utah School Counselor license or have the ability to receive the license in a timely manner. Interns will be considered.
The person hired for this position must be well versed in the school counseling model, be able to work well with middle school students, provide behavior supports and help with Student Behavior plans. They must be able to help conduct social skills and other small group instruction, work with the students as they navigate possible career choices and have the ability to facilitate communication that will foster understanding between parents, students and educators. They must also be well versed in working in crisis situations.
