Carbon School District is seeking applications for a District Technology Specialist. Provides basic technical support and services for users on district network systems, troubleshoots and repairs hardware and software, performs basic system maintenance functions and installs hardware and software. Installs and maintains network based video surveillance and access control hardware and software. This is a full time position and includes benefits. General job duties and requirements include participation in the installation, updating and administration of District computers, mobile devices, peripherals and software; install and maintain district video surveillance systems; install and maintain district building access control systems; maintains proper operation of the District computer systems, networks and other related hardware and software; performs system-level diagnosis and repairs of District computers and associated peripherals; installation and maintenance of network wiring and connections throughout buildings in the District; stays current in new technologies and applications; previous experience with personal computers, servers and computer networks required. Post secondary training in information technology or related field required. Information technology related certifications are helpful but not required. Will occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Performs other duties as assigned.
