Carbon District is reviewing language arts curriculum for adoption in grades K-5 beginning the 2024 school year. The Utah State Board of Education mandated curriculums must meet specific criteria in the science of reading. We are considering three that meet the current curriculum guidelines: McGraw Hill’s WONDERS program, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s INTO READING & Amplify’s CORE KNOWLEDGE LANGUAGE ARTS (CKLA). In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the school custodian provides direct support to classroom teachers in set up and maintenance of furniture and equipment.
