The Carbon boys gathered 101 points as they finished eighth overall in a field of 20 teams. Judge Memorial claimed another state championship with 335, edging out Canyon View’s 324. Ogden, Juan Diego, and Union completed the top five.
Mason Engar finished inside the top eight in each of his four events. A time of 1:01.46 placed him fifth in the 100-backstroke. He also finished seventh in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:56.30.
The 200-medley relay team consisting of Engar, Spencer Hepworth, Logan Kranendonk, and Cameron Jones finished eighth overall with a time of 1:54.75.
Engar, along with Jones, Bracken Hanson and Hepworth later finished seventh in the 400-freestyle relay.
